Sophie’s raven

as death comes to my mind
and my life leaves all behind
when swirling ravens sing
with hideous croaks in full swing
“Moonlight sonata”
waltzing ugly on the brink
on branches resembling a limb
archaic, black and grim
eye in eye with the black cloud
“ignore everything” they vowed.
i’m waiting for my turn to soar
to dance in death’s grip
see from above fate’s pit.
and a sword the pit to slit
worms, get out of the ground to weep!!
after a mercurial rain
exiled on the grey plain
fragile and left bare
and I, waltzing lightly in the air
I will hastily dig a lair
in bliss’ cell
or passion’s well
to find you sleeping like a belle.
